Chris Akers, PE • Senior Project Manager

Born and raised in southwest Virginia, Chris graduated from Virginia Tech. After a few years in Richmond, Virginia, he and his family relocated to Nashville in 2000. With over 25 years of civil engineering experience, Chris serves as a Senior Project Manager in Catalyst’s Nashville office, where he focuses on healthcare and private development projects located throughout the country.

On the weekends, you can find Chris spending time with his family and cheering on the Hokies, Franklin High School Admiral’s ice hockey and lacrosse teams, and his son’s travel ice hockey teams.

People might be surprised to learn:
Chris volunteers as a mentor with the ACE Mentor Program of Nashville. The nationwide program introduces Architecture, Construction, and Engineering (ACE) to interested high school students to promote the industry and recruit future professionals. Chris is the team leader for multiple high schools in southern Williamson County.
