mid-level landscape architect/designer

Catalyst Design Group is currently seeking a full-time Landscape Architect/Designer to join our team in any of our three office locations (Nashville, Murfreesboro, Orlando). The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Project Manager in a team environment and will be responsible for developing designs from the conceptual phase through construction closeout.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop design studies, sketches, and conceptual studies using both hand drawings and digital media.

  • Create 3D models using Sketchup, Revit and Lumion.

  • Prepare renderings, presentations and presentation graphics.

  • Assist in the development of construction drawings including grading, layout, and landscape plans.

  • Develop specifications and review shop drawings.

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, contracts, cost estimates, technical reports and memos.

  • Attend and participate in meetings including presentations, as well as client and consultant team meetings.

  • Work with senior designers in a collaborative team from concept design through construction closeout.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in: AutoCAD/Civil 3D; SketchUp; Adobe Creative Suite; Lumion; Microsoft Office Suite; Hand sketching

  • 4-7 years of experience in landscape architecture preferred

  • A professional undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited program in landscape architecture

  • Ability to meet fixed deadlines and work efficiently while managing multiple projects

  • Experience with site/land development projects

  • In-depth knowledge of trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials and annuals

  • Well-organized, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, and listening), and good interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work and interface well in a collaborative project team environment

  • Candidate will interact positively and effectively with people in all levels of the organization

  • Licensure is not required but encouraged
