Catalyst Supports Belmont on Two New Projects

January 23, 2025

Catalyst is providing civil engineering services for Belmont University on two transformative campus projects: the expansion of the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music Business and the construction of The CORD – Powerhouse. These projects, announced last year, aim to enhance Belmont's campus with cutting-edge facilities that foster creativity, collaboration, and industry engagement.

The Mike Curb College expansion, fueled by a historic $58 million gift from Mike Curb and the Mike Curb Foundation, includes a two-phase development. Phase one involves renovating the historic Buddy Lee Attractions/Capitol Records building to add new creative spaces, while phase two will see the construction of a 75,000-SF facility featuring performance venues, networking areas, and content capture rooms. Additionally, The CORD – Powerhouse, made possible by a $10 million gift from Belmont Trustee Cordia Harrington, will be a 29,000-SF student hub offering spaces for collaboration, performance, and cutting-edge technology. Our firm is proud to contribute to these visionary projects that will shape the future of Belmont's students and the broader Nashville community.
