Caption by Hyatt Memphis

As part of the $225 million, 5.5-acre One Beale mixed-use development, Caption by Hyatt Memphis is an integral component of the evolving downtown landscape. Located at the base of Beale Street on the Mississippi River bluff, Caption by Hyatt Memphis ties into the historic main building of Wm. C Ellis & Sons Ironworks and Machine Shop. This historic building was one of the earliest and longest-running businesses in Memphis, and as such, was thoughtfully repurposed to house the hotel’s ground and second floors with a new 136-guestroom tower added above.

A multifunctional lounge space (called the Talk Shop) is one of many key features of this hotel. Here, guests can enjoy an expansive patio, double-height beer garden, and fire pits. The 10-story Caption by Hyatt Memphis also connects to the adjacent Hyatt Centric hotel which was also completed by Catalyst Design Group.

The Memphis location is the first Caption by Hyatt hotel in the U.S. and second location worldwide.
