Nashville Christian School
Catalyst Design Group provided civil engineering services for Nashville Christian School's new event center and Gibson Building. The project enhances the educational experience for students at all levels while maintaining the intimate, familial atmosphere we have cultivated over the years. This phase includes the Campbell Family Event Center, "The Jake," and the renovation of the Gibson Building.
"The Jake" features a 1,500-seat gymnasium, four locker rooms, restroom facilities, a courtyard, and concession areas. This phase bridges Nashville Christian School's high school with the elementary and middle schools—a challenge made even more intricate by a 14-foot finish floor elevation change between the structures. Despite its complexity, the design seamlessly integrates the new space into the existing campus, ensuring functionality and accessibility for all students and staff.
The Gibson Building, a central part of the Nashville Christian campus, is undergoing a significant transformation. The renovation project includes expanding training facilities for all students, providing a 200-seat arena for the wrestling program, and creating dynamic space for 11 classrooms on the second floor.
