Aiming to Break the Cycle of Homelessness in Nashville

May 13, 2015

Catalyst is proud to have provided civil engineering services for Strobel House, a $35 million permanent supportive housing development in Downtown Nashville that is helping break the cycle of chronic homelessness. Commissioned by the Metro Government of Nashville and Davidson County, this five-story facility delivers 90 residential units. The project also includes community spaces and essential onsite services like healthcare, counseling, and case management—all designed to help residents rebuild their lives with dignity and independence.

Our team worked closely with project architects Moody Nolan and Bell Construction to deliver sustainable, functional infrastructure that supports the long-term goals of this first-of-its-kind facility. Strobel House’s design and mission-driven execution recently earned recognition at ULI Nashville’s 15th Excellence in Development Awards, where it was honored for setting a new standard in affordable housing. This recognition is a testament not only to the building's architectural and community value, but to the collaborative efforts that made it a reality.
