Renovations Coming to Three Fire Stations in Winter Haven
February 12, 2025
Catalyst is working with the City of Winter Haven to expand its fire stations and public safety infrastructure services. As the City moves forward with the construction of the $6.8 million Fire Public Safety Complex and a permanent home for Fire Station 5, our team has provided site planning and landscape architecture services to support the vision of a safer, more efficient response time to the surrounding community with the latest facility features. The new Fire Public Safety Complex, located on Fairfax Road, will house Fire Station 4, the Safe Neighborhoods Division, and a Police Department substation. With a modern design that accommodates seven fire personnel, two fire vehicles in pull-through bays, and essential facilities such as office spaces, sleeping quarters, and a fitness area, this station is built for long-term service.
Catalyst also provided site planning and landscape architectural services for Fire Station 5, a much-needed facility near Lake Hartridge Nature Park. Currently housed in a temporary doublewide trailer, the new station is designed to support over 30 years of occupancy and growth. Catalyst has continued to work alongside Carter Kaye for engineering services, The Lunz Group for architectural services, and Whitehead Construction as the general contractor to enhance public safety through thoughtful, future-proof design that is contextually sensitive to the surrounding neighborhood. We are honored to contribute to a project that will improve emergency response times and create a central hub for community safety services in Winter Haven.
