Topping Out Ceremony for Lake Ariana Park and CIVIC Center

Catalyst staff members, Bruce Hall, PLA, ASLA and Tim Salka, PLA, ASLA, attended the City of Auburndale’s Topping Out Ceremony for its new civic center at Lake Ariana Park. Catalyst worked with The Lunz Group and Springer Voss Construction, providing master planning and landscape architectural services for the park and adjacent streetscape.

The new 28,000-SF civic center will include event spaces, conference rooms, and a lakeside patio. The updated park will feature an event lawn, picnic pavilions, a waterfront concession/restroom building, a playground, walking paths, a new boat ramp and fishing pier, shoreline restoration, and stormwater rain gardens. The streetscape portion adds a roundabout, a multipurpose trail, and on-street parking to calm traffic and extend the historic downtown’s character at this city gateway location.
