UCF Debuts New State-of-the-Art Building in Lake Nona
August 18, 2025
The University of Central Florida’s new Dr. Phillips Nursing Pavilion officially opened to students on August 18. Catalyst is proud to have provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the project, which will have a lasting impact on healthcare in Florida. The 90,000-SF facility is located at UCF’s Lake Nona Academic Health Sciences Campus previously designed by key Catalyst staff. With the aim of fostering innovation and collaboration, the new building features advanced simulation labs, virtual reality tools, and research spaces that support co-education with the College of Medicine. With the capacity to graduate 150 more nurses annually, this facility directly addresses Florida’s ongoing nursing shortage, backed by over $70 million in combined state and private funding. Catalyst is honored to help create a state-of-the-art environment that will train and retain top-tier nursing talent for Central Florida and beyond.
