The Yard at Brookhaven

Catalyst provided planning and landscape architecture services for this mixed-use project located on approximately four acres along both sides of Virginia Drive in the popular Lake Formosa/Park Lake/Lake Highland neighborhood of Orlando. The project includes a seven-story building with 265 residential apartments, a 500-space parking garage, and approximately 20,000 SF of commercial space along Virginia Drive. In addition, the plan creates a new one-story, 3,600 SF restaurant/bar located on a .35-acre park; the park will be dedicated to the City of Orlando. Catalyst developed the streetscape and typical sections for the surrounding streets, including parallel parking, a multi-use trail, and wide sidewalks for outdoor dining. Along Virginia Drive, the plan incorporates courtyards featuring lush landscapes and various flexible seating options. Other features include a small ground-level dog park and a seventh-floor pool amenity with commanding views stretching to downtown Orlando. The elevated pool deck has a fitness lawn, swimming pool, grill area, fire pit, fireplace, and communal outdoor dining area.
