Appalachian State University (App State) and the surrounding community have seen continuous growth in recent years. In response to this growth, Catalyst was contracted for civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the new mixed-use student housing facility. Serving App State students, the Finmore at 241 includes 100% commercial space on the first floor, with residential units on four floors above. The new 274,783-SF complex offers 562 beds across 174 units, ranging from one- to four-bedrooms, as well as 348 parking spaces and 174 bike spaces. The building is also incorporated into the University’s bus route, offering convenient access for students and guests via bus stop located in front of the building.
